Can't Change the Language

Hey guys, I accidently downloaded the game in Russian, and now I can't fix the language. Whenever I edit the config file, replacing language = russian with language = english, it simply changes it again on startup. Any help?

Have you tryed changing the language in Steam?
(right click on the game, settings, language)
