Can't play any custom maps/scenarios

I just installed Dale's Age of Discovery II and was really excited about all the new maps, but I just can't fiind any of the new ones.
I already put them on all the PublicMaps folders, outside the Mods folder and also inside the Program Files folder as well.
And whenever I try to start a game, be it in vanilla Col or AoDII, I always get the same maps.

What am I missing here?

I've got the same problem with some maps....are you playing with Vista?

I just upgraded to VISTA and now the MODS crash after 4-7 turns (though basic game still seems to play okay).
All the MODS worked fine under XP.

Here's my error message:

This has to be a VISTA thing. Do you get the same error?
