Can't see other games in Lobby

I know you're thinking "that's because no one else is playing". This is not the case. My friend and I both recently (within last week for both of us) got this mod. We both load it up and connect to gamespy lobby. He can see someone else's game (just 1 game, and it's locked) and I couldn't see anyones. I created a game and he couldn't see it, then he made a game and I couldn't see it. In the upper right hand of the screen it said ffh 2 023 (that may not be it exactly, but I know it matched) for both of us.

Any ideas?

I'm pretty bad with computers and would prefer not to do all the port forwarding stuff to allow a direct IP connect if I can avoid it.

you can just try Hamachi...there was a multiplayer thread around here somewhere. Time to go fishing

Let me tell you, you can't avoid the port forwarding if you want to use the lobby to play with random people.
But Hamachi (google for it) works like a charm without setting ANY ports to forward (even though it recommends it, it's not needed at all for Civ!).

Well we've played vanilla MP together w/out any port forwarding from the gamespy lobby quite a few times now. I see plenty of people in the vanilla and BTS lobbies, I'm just not sure why FfH 2 can't put me in the same lobby w/ him while the others will.

My point is everything else worked, we clicked on the same link, downloaded the same file and no dice.

Perhaps you don't have the same patch. I can't see ffh games at gamespy without the right patch. I'm in game now, but I'll share what I know of Hamachi later. I think you and your friend should join it.
