Can't select new civs for scenario

I know, I know, that's horribly vague... But the problem is that there is so much new XML involved that there could be a lot of things. As the title says, I have a mod with custom civs, units, traits, icon art, map, etc. When I go to select the map associated with the scenario, I cannot choose which Civ to play as. It just says 'random leader' or whatever, but it also always chooses the first Civ from the list in Worldbuilder. Once selected, though, there aren't any further related problems. When I have firetuner up, it says there's a problem with 'bonustitle'

Here's some diagnoses I have come up with:
  • All of the new civs have the same trait. Does that make the game unhappy?
  • I added unit overrides because I thought that would help; none of the civs are supposed to have unique units, so there UU's are really just generic units. This problem happened before this change, but would this be an issue too?
  • Is this just something you can't do if you want the original Civs to be unplayable?
  • The map .dds file might be the wrong size. What is the correct size?
  • Something else? I'm really stuck on this...

On a related note, I want two Civs to be AI-only. If I set the Playable tag in XML to false, would this have the desired effect?
 
You're not alone... I don't thinnk any of the items in your list matter. I started working on my earth scenario just before the March patch and it worked fine. Then with the patch along came this problem. There is no fix as far as I know :(
