In my current SG, I require some information.

I'm trying to have a peek at the capitulation mechanics, to see how diffcult it'll be to get him to fold to us.

So far, we're at -4 (-2 for Dec of War last time, -2 for razing a city.) and I want to see if this will pose a problem, as we'll be up to -6 in no time.

^^Exactly. i think ( quoting from memory, corrections welcomed ) you need:
- Having more than double the power of the civ
- Being percieved as been winning the war ( aka : the civ you're fighting must had lost more units than you, otherwise the AI thinks that it's winning, regardless of the number of cities you taken from them :crazyeye: )

EDIT Yhanks for the correction shyuhe ( see post below ).....

don't forget the basic double pop and double land requirement. If you're in too many wars at once, the AI may also refuse to be your vassal because "we're afraid of your enemies"

In terms of power/land calculations do your vassals/colonies get added to your base power/land when calculating capitulation? I would guess that vassals and colonies don't get factored into basic land/pop but they might get factored into power.
