Captain Spiff is a Resized and Adjusted Spaceman "Spiff" that Kinboat uploaded long ago. I Thought Spiff was a Good Unit but he was too large and the Laser angle and distance was not accurate...so I reworked this Unit and made some Sounds for him.

Included Files and Changes:
Resized all Captain Spiff animations to a smaller size so he can fit better with other "Normal" Game Units.
He remains slightly larger but his thick space suit appears to justify that :)

Remade AttackA and B with changed angles and adjusted Lazer Beams.
Remade the Attacks so the Laser Hits the Enemy better but the angle the unit and Laser was made in does not allow for Exact Laser Hits without distorting the Laser angle that cannot match the angle of the Weapon... it is better now.
Remade AttackA so the Laser goes a greater Distance for (Shooting) Bombardment.
Changed Flc Speeds for better game animation timing.
Made New sounds and included Alternate Fortify and Victory sounds.
The Run uses the Paratrooper Run sounds.
adjusted the Civ Specific Colored units_32.pcx
Adjusted the .ini
Note that the AttackB is set in the .ini file for use to Clear Pollution if you want to set this ability in the Editor for this Unit.

Note that the gif animations show differently in the Game because this animated Preview required all Flcs be set with the same Speed.

Sweet attack. I love how the energy builds in the barrel right before the shot. A truly wonderful attack animation

Cool, this will definitely go in my Command and Conquer scenario as the GDI Zone Trooper.

I second this. Are you going to correct each unit available on this forum ? :eek: Now you all know why I always send my units to Vuldacon: he would have corrected them anyway :lol: Keep on improving them Greg, you're doing an amazing work here.

EDIT: hey, this guy is so cool! Kinboat really was the man for cool loking units!
 
Thanks for the Comments you guys... I wanted Captain Spiff for EFZI2. He was a former Astronaut helping the Aerospace Center research better Spacesuits and stronger portable Lasers. He was in the middle of testing an improved Spacesuit and Portable Laser when the Zombies captured him. It was unfortunate that Captain Spiff did not have a Stronger Energy Pack for the New Prototype Portable Laser or he could have made a Good Stand against the Zombies.
...as it was, the Laser ran out of Power from testing, leaving Captain Spiff at the mercy of the Zombies without a usable weapon.

Any Human Faction can Rescue Captain Spiff and if they discover the Needed Technology (Mega Laser) to be able to build a Stronger Power Pack, Captain Spiff (Power Packed) will be only too Happy to Test the New Laser against the Zombies! :)
