My babs are busy fighting the backstabbing, waring, evil and decadent zulu. We are fighting a long war, me constantly on the defence, or busy hunting down raiding parties. My bordertowns fall to the masses of Impi throwing themselves at me, only to rebell back to me some turns later. However, I manage to gather a large army of swordsmen and archers, and plunge them straight into zululand. After an epic battle, I manage to capture their capital. The zulu agree to a humiliating peace treaty...

but what effects do this have? Loosing the capital must have some impact on a country? Will I finally have a chance to take cities by cultural influence? (Never worked before...)
How can I make the most of the situation?

Well, once you take their capital, another capital is instantly spawned. If this new capital is farther from you than their previous one, then those cities bordering you will have an increased chance to flip to your side. In most operation, I try to take the capital first, generally razing it. it is a good solid strike that makes the rest of the cities a little easier to take.

Most of your Culture will be in your capital city. Take that and the big culture cash cow is slaughtered.
