Well it's clearly not that, so they must be trolling whoever it is.
I meant mine.
It would obviously be an awkward kind of trolling if it is the last option, now that a dev has voted on the poll... So maybe discard that one too...
JUST LOOK AT HIS PROFILE PICTURE
He's more than capable of trolling
Engagement of player base, they said? here you go
My guess is that the vote went to the 3rd option (which is for my taste as wrong as one could be). The 5th option is at best half wrong IMO, as it contains strictly seen 2 parts: "It was just for fun in the video" (I don't doubt that he had fun with that action ), no particular hint." And for the latter part: Even if we get the 1st, 2nd and/or 4th thing with the April update, you could argue that they are free to put the catapult scene in the video without meaning it as a hint. Who defines what a hint is? Sure, thematically a catapult fits with walls and other siege equipment, but you could also see it as one for the various civ balance changes ("breaking up the balance between civs we are used to").
And yes, my interpretation is by the fueled by the deep wish to see 1./2./4.
Maybe I somehow have a different version of the game but I find as long as I have Akkad in the game, or bring a battering ram/siege tower, I don’t have issues with walls till renaissance.
Of course I always do the following:
(1). Bring a battering ram/siege tower, or Akkad
(2). Bring sufficient force (three melee units + a backup and three ranged units minimum)
(3). Clear out the enemy field army first
(4). Make sure the enemy city is sieged
(5). Stack as many bonuses from Generals and Oligarch legacies as possible
(6). Make sure you are at at least tech parity with the enemy
(7). If you can form corps or armies make sure your assault force is all corps or armies
If you cannot fulfill the above criteria, you don’t go for it till you can.
8) Play Basil II.
From the Civilopedia XML, the new Zombie mode is referred to as "ZOMBIE_SIEGE".
So I think we now know what the catapult reference was
Looks like 2 people actually got it right in the poll. Whoever y'all are, congrats on calling it!
...I’m not convinced, especially because the catapult hint (if it is a hint) was clearly mentioned alongside the April update.
In any case we shall find out on Monday.
few hours till we find out if this catapult was a real deal or if we've been barking up the wrong tree.
Is the update video releasing today?
I wish it was that, but I doubt they take us back to Civ 5, and Rhye is clearly not involved with Civ 6. Don't get me wrong, an official historical mod would be totally awesome, but so far they have not seem to pursue this direction.
11:00 A.M. EST, to be precise.
Even his cat was using cheesy Pantheon exploits before they got fixed, remember?
There's a Trebuchet Unit in the new update.
Congrats to 29 people!
