FYI: I had to take out Jainism/Baha'i/Mormon/Sikh because they are not properly formed yet and cause some errors.

Aw, that is too bad. Well if you ever get them back working then the techs would be needed. My idea was basically to have one tech for each religion and then possibly add other religious based techs on top of that since many religions have different events int their history that have lead to technology and cultural change such as Bushido, Christian Reformation, Crusades, Yoga, Acupuncture, etc. In fact Marital Arts should probably be linked to Buddhism or Taoism in some way.

Here are some more tech ideas ...

    Dance & Music Techs

    Ancient
    - Ancient Dance (Req Mysticism)
    - Ancient Music (Req Mysticism)
    - Natya (Req Hinduism AND Ancient Music AND Ancient Dance)

    Classical
    - Folk Music (Req Mathematics AND Drama AND Ancient Music AND Ancient Dance)
    - Folk Dance (Req Drama AND Ancient Music AND Ancient Dance)

    Medieval
    - Medieval Music [Name Change of "Music"] (Req Mathematics AND Drama AND Folk Music AND Folk Dance)
    - Medieval Dance (Req Drama AND Folk Music AND Folk Dance)
    - Kabuki (Req Shintoism AND Medieval Music AND Medieval Dance)
    - Court Dancing (Req Medieval Dance AND Chivalry)

    Renaissance
    - Renaissance Music (Req Medieval Music AND Medieval Dance AND Architecture)
    - Renaissance Dance (Req Medieval Music AND Medieval Dance AND Architecture)
    - Ballet (Req Renaissance Music AND Renaissance Dance AND Court Dancing)

    Industrial
    - Baroque Music (Req Renaissance Music AND Humanism)
    - Classical Music (Req Baroque Music AND Free Artistry)
    - Romantic Music (Req Classical Music AND Romanticism)

    Modern
    - Modern Music (Req Romantic Music AND)
    - Modern Dance (Req Romantiic Music AND
    - Jazz (Req Representative Democracy AND Modern Music)
    - Rock n Roll (Req Jazz AND Electronics)
    - Hip Hop (Req Rock n Roll AND Mass Media)
    - Electronica (Req Rock n Roll Music AND Computers)

I am sure there are more I could fill in but this is a good start. Probably Poetry should be in there too.

    QUOTE OF Hydromancerx

    Spoiler :
    ICON:
    Spoiler :

This icon is totaly untrue, i am from greece and studied much greek and ancient history.

    1. Ancient greek 12 god polytheism was the first religion in greece (much more than before 2000bc). There was not any specific minoan religion but in some places some gods where more important to them.
The roman religion was a small change of the greek polytheism. The roman gods were exactly the same greek gods with other names. e.g Zeus - Dias and all the other gods...

    2. In christian religion there were 5 patriachates.
    -Jerusalim
    -Constantinupoles (istanbul)
    -Alexandria
    -Antiocheias
    -Rome

In 1054 the roman Patriarch announced himself Pope and the christian schism begun.
The other patriachates are still orthodox (orthodox means the true pray).
I don't mean to mention any true or wrong, just want to be historicaly more acurate.

At what point can you sign diplomatic agreements in the current build? I've gotten up into the middle ages and have yet to be able to sign an open borders agreement.

I am not sure what you were arguing but I got the image from here ...
    http://cominganarchy.com/2009/07/09/timeline-of-world-religions-beta/

I am no expert on religion (in fact I am more atheist or agnosticism) but I do find religion an important part of human history and find it as interesting as any other aspect of human society.

On a side note my sister went to Greece this last summer to study abroad and had a great time. She loves to cook and brought back some great Greek recipes. Greek food is very yummy! :D

With regard to strategyonly's techs WW1 & WW2. Those are are historical wars and I don't think they really fit as names of techs. How about calling them somthing like 'trench warfare' for WW1 and 'blitzkrieg', 'blind patriotism' or 'demagogy' for WW2?

First off i dont like the way its set up, but you HAVE to check Advanced Diplomacy in the game options at the BEGINNING of the game in the options section. I like the OLD way, but i didnt design that Diplo junk:rolleyes:.

Just a side note, but Mesopotamianism, or... the Sumerian Faith, predates Hinduism, the Egyptian faiths, and of course, Judaism. Additionally, it could well be argued that Animism (Shamanism) predates even Mesopotamianism, as we see signs of it going back far before the roots of civilization itself. This is based on little earth mother figurines found in prehistoric sites. Druidic Traditions may have been considered to go back a long ways but in fact, more likely, they were a resurgance of ancient faith that rose in the middle ages... they were unlikely the original builders of Stonehenge despite the fact that they made the site a center stage for their faith. So, in historical order, you would have had Shamanism, Mesopotamianism, Hinduism, Kemetism, and then we've caught up to the chart as it shows for the most part. ( I presume Hinduism would include the vedic traditions in a Civ outlook.)

Yeah, advanced diplomacy is definitely checked in my game. I still am not sure how to make embassies, I'm afraid. Are they built in cities? If so, I'm never getting the option to build them.

OK here's what you need to do, as long as you have Advanced Diplomacy check-marked when you play a Custom Scenario, its on by default for Play Now, then see pic 1, click on the LADYBUG then click on Diplomacy (pic2) you can see all kinds of options then.

I again personally dont like it this way, but thats how the Base is set-up, sorry.

    @strategyonly

Ok let me go over each tech ...

    TECH_MILITARY
We have already Warfare and Military Training. I do not see why we would need this.

    TECH_MILITARY_CODE
Hmm. Again I think Military Training might already cover this but lets say this is different. I would say it requires "Military Training" AND "Code of Laws". Not sure what benefits this tech would give. New promotions maybe?

    TECH_MILITARY_LOGISTICS
This is already covered with "Logistics" tech. No need to add this.

    TECH_MILITARY_DOCTRINE
This sounds the same as military code. I do not see why we need this.

    TECH_MILITARY_DISCIPLINE, TECH_MILITARY_INTELLIGENCE,
    TECH_MILITARY_RECONNAISSANCE, TECH_MILITARY_TACTICS, TECH_MILITARY_STRATEGY, TECH_MILITARY_LEADERSHIP, TECH_MILITARY_SPECIAL_WARFARE
Again we already have many military techs like Military Science, Military Tradition, etc. I mean what are all these linked to? What units or promotions or buildings would we be working with? These are so vague I have no idea where they should go.

    TECH_MILITARY_SCIENCE
    We already have this.

    TECH_MILITARY_COMBINED_ARMS
    What is combined arms anyways?

    TECH_MILITARY_POWER
Again so vague. These sound more like promotions than techs. How were they used in the other mod?

    TECH_DOMESTICATE_CAMELS
This was already requested above as "Camel Riding". And I said it would require Trade AND Horseback Riding

    TECH_DOMESTICATE_ELEPHANTS
This is already covered with "Elephant Riding" so no need to add this tech.

    TECH_WW1
We already have Trench Warfare tech. I do not think we need this. Techs should be more specific than this.

    TECH_WW2
Again I think this is too broad of a tech. We already have lots of techs involving WWII era tech. I don't think we need this.
