2 more in the regular season :)

This time we get 20k :gold: so get on board if you aren't already.
Elite now has 105k - Gumbo 100k - Lymo 51750 - Keler 37.5k - Sittindown 34.4k - Saxo 25850 - My 25250

This game is also unique cos i consider one AI as strong favorite.
I might be totally wrong on that..and maybe you can take advantage of those odds?

Which AI will win?
Sury +100
Charly +600
Mehmed +800
Lizzy +1000
Isa +1500
Monty +2000

Who comes in second?
Mehmed +350
Isa +550
Charly +600
Sury +650
Monty +800
Lizzy +900

First to die?
Lizzy +350
Charly +450
Monty +500
Isa +600
Mehmed +1000
Sury +1500

Victory condition?
Domi +150
Space +200
Culture +600
Diplo +4000

Specials:
Victory date will be between T315 and 320 (including): +900
There will be no more than 7 wars: +700
Lizzy survives until T225: +400
Isa founds the Theology religion: +300
Monty stuns everyone and reaches Rifling first: +1500
Charly delights his backers and settles for gems first (2 gems minimum, second ring okay): +250

You cannot bet on all 6 leaders to win for example, or all 4 victory conditions.
I don't want to think about offering too high totals when i set those odds..it's annoying.
Can always bet on all specials thou.

I missed betting on the last game and I have to say that watching it was more relaxing that way, so I think I'll stay out of it from now on. I think it's a great idea, though, and I'm happy to see its popularity. (It's just not for me, I've discovered. I quickly get too emotionally invested.)

..And doesn't research Mining before T50 : +400 ?

Well, in that case. I don't think I've bet on any specials since Week 1, so let's change that! I'll put 2000:gold: on all of 'em.

For the rest, I'll let random.org be my muse this week. 2000:gold: on each of the following:
Monty 1st
Sury 2nd
Isabella FTD
Diplo victory

Far be it from me to question one of the, what was it, 20 best picking contest entries, but a diplo victory by Monty seems, eh...how do it put this, left field? :crazyeye:

Basically the same that NickGabben mentioned earlier - more enjoyable for me if I can sit back, chillax, and laugh at everyone's rapidly changing (mis)fortune watch silly AIs do silly AI things :mischief:.

I wonder if we have to bid all our money or can just save them for later? I think that would be against the rules though
100 gold bid on whatever, keeps the rest, next week adds more money bla bla bla :nono:
or just sits at 100k gold never bids ever again until final game :smoke:
and a limit on how many bids can be made etc.

You tell me clear my head :)
Anyway
37500? okay

10k Isabella founds Theology religion first
10k Culture victory
10k Mehmed wins
5k Charlemagne dies first
2500 Montezuma dies first

Well atm i am unsure if i should continue with those threads.
Maybe even the illusion of betting on something shouldn't be used, today's comments are concerning.

Going on some longer shots to bring me back into contention :D

5k Mehmed 1st
5k Lizzy 2nd
5k Mehmed FTD
5k Lizzy survival

Personally, what these folks are mentioning sounds a lot like my own competitive streak. In most cases, try as I might to take something easy and play it casual, once you assign stakes to it - however petty - I get much more invested in it, and the agony of defeat in particular becomes much more pronounced. If it's similar with these folks, then I don't think there's anything wrong with the format of this that's causing a problem.

(Oddly enough, this tendency of mine has not come into play with this little competition. I guess I've successfully taken it lightly enough?)
