CFC Fantasy Premier League 2014–15

I think so. I think I remember having Steven Whittaker first game last season, he scored first game did something else soon after then fell to 3.9.

 

I'm finding it much harder to find decent players <5.0m this time. Last time there were a reasonable number of first team defenders for 4.0 and midfielders for 4.5 to pad out my bench, but this time there really aren't any at all. I think "cheap" defenders run for 4.5 and cheap midfielders for 5.5 this time. Which of course means a more balanced team with fewer high scoring stars.

And the H2H league is not all luck. Luck is involved every week when you get points anyway.

There's plenty of strategy, you can look up your opponent's players beforehand to give one example and make your transfers accordingly.. your transfer strategy changes overall as well depending on which league you want to do better in.

So if you see people doing well in the H2H league, it could actually be greatly impacted by skill.. The skill of selecting the right players each week, the right captain, etc. of course too.

Brushing it off in the OP as a "secondary" competition takes away from the whole thing I think! They're equally worthy trophies in my eyes.

I just removed 13 randomers from H2H alone. H2H will be closed early tomorrow to stop any unknowns sneaking in at the last minute, so get yourself on soon.

 

I've just joined the H2H (Vito Mannowned). I've never done H2H before so I'm just going to ignore it and see how it goes

Does someone play that "ultimate" pay game?. I think it is totally unnecessary, they should just offer better prizes in the regular game.

Come on, it always struck me as a joke that the official game of the filthy rich premier league has only peanuts as prizes.

I think they just embarrass themselves with their parsimony and now even more with trying to pinch the last penny out of the participants

 

Is that new this year? I haven't seen it before. The chances of me winning anything are so low (I bet) that I'm not even considering this at all..

 

So, unless Terry scores a few goals today, I'm lagging well behind already...oh well, the season is still young...
