either that, or do the looking good bit again, then pretend you are the prince of some nation that no-one knows much about (select a country based on your skin colour). now, get into the social circles in the big city and take opportunities as they come your way. likely you'll be invited to stay at rich people's houses so you can cut your accomodation costs. Hopefully some big business will want to start trade to your nation and through a series of madcap episodes, you will be able to swindle them for all they're worth!

Well, first, make sure you have both Park Place AND Boardwalk, then build houses and apartments on both. Park Place first, since people land there more often than on Boardwalk. With the huge sums of rent money coming in, and a large enough group of people playing, you could get up to $10,000 by the end of the game.

Use 5000 to buy some scrub land (up north to you), each year
collect valuable hardwood seeds (black walnut for example) and
sprout. Each year spend a 2 weeks clearing the years scrub
growth and plant yer crop, mix in some softwoods for paper and
to protect the hardwoods.

Start harvesting in about 10-4O years depending whether you
planted for paper (yer first $), lumber ($$) or furniture wood($$$).

Any tips? I have a few, some of them have gone well, but most have been bad investments, partly because of the recession though.
