There's no way the AI would use that... If you're just looking to use it for yourself, then I'll do it with the Cataphract.
Have you ever played the Rise of Rome conquest? The Legions on that can build roads and forts.

Oooh, I was just talking about pasting the SSB storyboard into a storyboard .pcx made by FLICster. Took me a while to figure 'em out too.

Sheesh! I just convert the BMP's to a civ unit style palette (usually "borrowed" from another unit with similar colors), then use the ol' batch conversion tool in PSP to convert all the files to PCX format. It's a lot simpler, really. (Oh BTW, I create a blank filmstrip storyboard that has the same animation name with Flicster first, then when I batch convert all the filmstrip BMP's that SBB generated, the original blank PCX files are overwritten by the converted BMP's. All I then have to do is open FLICster, load the storyboard I generated, and export the finished animation to FLC format.)

Can i be a unit? just make it the russian PTW wwII unit heres the stats
Name: Communisto's Guard
For: Who Ever Wants it
Replaces: Infantry
Attk-8
Def-9

Civileopedia-
The ancient civilization of Liberatzio Communista dominated the great continent of Sovieta. Ruled by the great Communisto this nation flurished and quickly conquered all its neighbours. A group of elite military infantry called Communisto's guard used massive full front attacks to thwart the enemy and were a higher caste amongst the people of the empire.

I find it ironic that Communista (seemingly related to communism) has a social caste system... Kinda unrealistic... OH KNOW! HERE COME THE BANANAS! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!

@ A Viking Yeti:    :p

@ Communisto: I help thee smite! ^

@ Dease: I have a tiny little request, that my UU, the FEF Infantry's name be changed to Royal Marines, as I've decided they will replace the Marine. Has a boosted defensive value (pehaps even a slightly higher offensive value, perdy please?) Treats all terrain as roads. AI strategies offense & defense. Raise/lower shield cost as fit if overpowered/underpowered.
I'd also like it to have stealth attack and/or build forts and roads ability, but I'm not sure if that's asking too much.

(Then again, I'd like it to have all abilities! And a million hit points! Mwahahaha  ) j/k

TO RedAlert: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Also, when I first learned you could edit the game, I made a available without any resources or techs, like... 20 some odd attack and def, all terrain as road, 8 hp bonus, 5 mp, blitz, and on, and on... Trust me, the game gets real boring real fast.

I suppose I better request one of my units..It should be simple...:D

Well you know my name, truckingpete...

Well I want a Semi! a Peterbilt Semi...:D I like colr red too...

Still thinking of my other unit...:D

All I do is make a .fxm, user SBB to convert the .bmp's to a storyboard, import my custom palette, and then use Infranview to save it over the .pcx from FLICster... Never seem that complicated to me :p...

BTW: I had no idea that SBB could make filmstips ...

Erm.. Yeah, it turns out I wasn't quite doing it right. I had Bryce render the BMP sequence into the folders labeled N,S,E,W,NW,NE,SW,SE, but I named the files Steam_Nxxxx, Steam_SWxxxx, etc. It turns out, that when I dropped the directional designator, I could just create one storyboard pcx, and just load the pallete in PSP, and save as the PCX. Saved a good 5-10 minutes off the creation process. SBB is a great program, but the documentation/help features leave much to be desired :crazyeye:

BTW, has anyone updated the unit creation status/links for the units on the first page/library?

You've started school now too !?!

 just five more days.... just five more days!

 I've been busy with school and all, but I'll update it now ;)

Look at it this way: You could be working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week (with a mere 4 hour shift on Sundays), floating out in the middle of the *&%$#* Persian Gulf for 60 days straight without even one *&$! glimpse of land, while sleeping in a bed that's roughly the size and shape of a coffin, and being cooped up with a bunch of people whose guts you hate 24/7 on top of the fact that there's a bunch of turban wearing psychopaths in the immediate area who'd like nothing better than to see you dead.

Now school doesn't sound that bad, does it? Also keep in mind that I've been putting up with all the previously mentioned stuff for the past 5 1/2 years. :crazyeye:

Anyways, good to know that there are still people working on the mod. Once I get my next planned unit done, I'm going to try to do the Arashi Ninja or Arashi commando (I found a great female bullet proof vest prop for Poser, and I've already downloaded a samurai style kabuto and AK-47 models from 3d Cafe, which i'm going to import and turn into props.), as soon as I figure out what camera settings I need to use.

Well, since noone else wanted to make my hot female special forces troops, I've decided to have a go at it. Note that this will probably take at least two weeks to finish, and that the preview I've attached is about 70% complete for the basic model. All she needs is her Kabuto (helmet), gun, body armor, web belt, and Katana (and any other mischellaneous gear to round her out). Comments and suggestions, particularly camera angles and lighting will be greatly appreciated (I'm using Poser to make this one, and I only know half of what I'm doing :crazyeye: ) Preview attached below
