Challenge modes interfering with victory?

Without thinking it through, I started a game with Final Five, Increasing Difficulty, and High to Low all enabled. Cultural Victory was enabled and it was Small map size.

I started as Illian, got the top score, became Calabim, got the top score, and then became Ljo.

As Ljo, I built Mercurial Gate, didn't switch to Basium, and then went on to get 3 cities with Legendary culture. The Increasing Difficulty option has long since hit Deity.

The game didn't end. Did something I do mess up Cultural Victory? What's up with this?

maybe the final fiv actually killed you when you switched out of auric but you didnt know it

There were only 4 civs in the whole game. Final Five couldn't kill anyone.

If you're going to that just edit the save for the trophies, lol.

EDIT:Unless we've misunderstood you and you had more, they're just not in game anymore.
