Okay I know its a no, no. But I've been involved in this "to the death" struggle with the Aztecs, using superior defensive tactics to overcome their numerical advantage. Just when the battle is delicately poised, a third party (the Americans) decide to declare war on me, which means its all over red rover. I'd like to know how I can block this irritation out (ie "cheat" by eliminating the Americans). Can this be done in Civ 3?

The Americans launched an unprovoked war against me (Iroquois) once. I reloaded the game and traded the Americans some gems for two techs from them. Not only do they not declare war this time, but they remove their manacing troops from my terf without me asking. If there's no good trade available, you can always offer some 'foreign aid'.:)

I did like that in CivII. I used it when I knew I was defeated.
I would go to cheat mode and nuke'em all. I knew I was defeated
but it just helped to get a little revenge. I don't play for the points, I play for the win. My 2 cents.

I have always loved to be the Aztecs (I felt that the damn Spainards ended their reign too soon). I admit that I have cheated against civs like the Americans. Whereas I have militaristic and religious abilities, I like to give my little Aztecs the expansionist capablility also. Seems to even the playing field.

I know, I'm a wuss.
