Welcome to the CoE game. :)

However it would be better if you joined the Shihai for reasons of balance, but thats up to you if you wish to switch to our smallest clan and up to Yahzuk as to whether he would permit you to join them prior to commiting any action for the Kagaku.

As it's already under construction in another city the Sistine Chapel will not be buildable anyway so this is pretty much a non-issue.

In previous patches the effects have always changed (in techie terms the game saves the policy id and when loaded pulls ongoing effects from the database). The only way the effect won't change is if yahzuk has Steam set to offline or never exits this game.

Well, then why does Kagoshima generate only 2 culture when it should generate 3 (2 from Monument, 1 from Liberty, same for the other cities, also the same for Kyoto and +3 culture from Tradition) ?
I know that it should update the policies, but something went wrong there apparently.

I'm afraid you've been dead for a while now. Feel free to sign up again - the Shihai are hurting for players lately.

Good point, previous patches have certainly made changes to buildings. Presumably for some unknown reason Firaxis decided that policy effects should be saved in addition to the policy.

Considering that policies effects are likely saved, shouldn't we attempt to go for a policy who's effects are superior presently compared to a post-update adoption?

I would advocate going for Landed elite pre-update if this is so. (+15 food growth and +2 food in all cities)

It is much better in my opinion pre-update than after and is exactly the same as the finisher of tradition post patch, which means we could possibly get the effect twice compared to the +1 happiness per 10 citizens in a city of post patch landed elite which is in my opinion is inferior.

All other currently available options are either the same as now post patch or superior in my opinion. Making Landed Elite the best option policy wise pre-patch if we want to reap the maximum benefit from our policies.

    Admin note
By now you see that there is a pretty consistent format to the way I note displacements. IF you could put you displacement requests in that format so I could just copy paste them, it would save me a good bit of work.

    Spoiler Oni's Secret :

The astute observers among you will notice that a couple of Daimyos didn't get pinged for missing the council even though they announced no votes after the council was closed.

Why? Because they took the time to announce no votes anyway.
    Does that matter? Sometimes.

Here's the dirty little secret about deadlines....
    Spoiler :

This is a game and its meant to be fun. (Fun = good!)
Deadlines exist because they keep the game moving (game moving = very good!) and because its less work for me than chasing after folks for their votes/orders (less work for me = unimaginably good!)

Sometimes I announce the close of the council and get to work on it right away. In this case, anything that comes in after the deadline causes more work for me. (more work for me = very bad!) in this case you can be a minute late and too bad!

But sometimes I announce the close of the council and other stuff gets in the way so I don't get around to working on it for a while. (stuff in the way of games = so sad!) in this case I haven't done anything yet, and having a late post is actually less work than verifying no post is there among 3 pages of posts (better late than never = slightly good)

How can you tell if I've started working on the update or not? You can't! hahaha. Take your chances.
Why? Because I'm in that kind of mood tonight! And also because sometimes playing with spoiler tags is fun. Nuff said.

The filthy and glamorous Oni Yahzuk

STATEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE DAIMYO OF KYOTO

    ---

The Daimyo of Kyoto released a statement after reports of the assasination of Daimyo Chgrogers reached Kyoto.

    -

I condemn the needless and violent assasination of the good Daimyo Chgrogers of Osaka by barbaric and violent usurpers.

This act was an attack on a man of integrity, honesty and sincerity. Now, after his predeccesor was likewise slain, Chgrogers, third of that name has faced the dagger as well. He himself was entirely blameless, and innocent of all violence and this man of peace now has been struck down by conspirators and traitors ensnared in the mire of hate and villainy. I can only hope that the perpetrators of this grave crime against civility and peace are brought to justice and that this violence ends.

Furthermore to the ones responsible, we know who you are, and we will not forget your barbarism. The time shall come when you shall be relegated to the shadows at the margins of civilisation where you belong.

    Thankyou and farewell.
