Chinese Stonehenge - Sacred Places?

    Just wondering if the founder belief sacred places makes Stonehenge less gimmicky for China. Coupled with divine inspiration followers belief, the hypothetical yield of stonehenge escalates to 8 faith per turn, 2 sci 2 culture 2 gold, which is pretty strong on paper this early into the game.

    The problem with early Stonehenge is that one has to follow up with holy site to buy missionaries to spread religion.

    Sacred places also weakens apadana since you would want your early wonders to be spread out rather than concentrated at the capital.

    Thoughts?

    this is interesting. Its a super strong bonus right away but it falls off too quickly I think. I guess the main problem is that if you grab an early religion why would you not go for feed the world or choral music? I just finished a khmer game with feed the world and obviously the synergies are super strong between those two but feed the world was absolutely bonkers.

    I also saw someone on reddit post a screenshot of his chinese arctic colony cities completely surrounded by a circle of great walls and up to 7 pop from feed the world holy sites. Looks like that would be much better than some early yields in your capital.

    China doesn't need culture since great wall can supplement culture later on. Furthermore china cannot spam holy sites as well as say, Russia or Japan. under this strategy I foresee building at most two holy sites.

    Divine Inspiration makes up for not building holy sites. 4 faith per wonder is quite decent early on, which can help you purchase more builders for wonder rushing. Perhaps Stonehenge is a high risk play since potentially it may set you back. But generally, I think Sacred places may be an interesting option for china.
