    Hello Everyone

    Since the announcement of the Ottomans and Ibrahim people has started to comment on the posibility of adding more UG for other civs. It certainly got me thinking about a UG for the Aztecs: Tlacaelel the Cihuacoatl.

    He was the mastermind behind the throne responsible for restructuring the Aztecs into the war machine that won them their empire.

    If you had to choose 1 historical figure for each civ to act as Unique Governor who would it be?

    Now, I'm asking this because, 1- It's fun speculation and discussion and 2- Because I'm an animator and the idea of drawing historical figures as governors in the civ6 style sounds like great practice, and i would love to hear you ideas.

    As a brazilian I would really want to see José Bonifacio, the Independence Patriarch (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/José_Bonifácio_de_Andrada), as UG. It would make sense as an UG like the Ottomans are getting now, the UG is part of their LUA, not the civ's UA. And José Bonifácio was closely related to Dom Pedro I, although somewhat a turbulent relationship.

    If they won't add any other new leader, Duke of Caxias (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luís_Alves_de_Lima_e_Silva,_Duke_of_Caxias) would fit, as he was an important figure in Dom Pedro II's reign, mainly during the Paraguayan War.

    Aristotle would be my choice for Macedon (or wherever Alexander is put in civ).

    Sun Tzu for China.

    An extremely controversial character and was never an actual governor, but could give bonuses for commerce and imperialistic expansion.
    One possible bonus could give bonus gold for mines in a city he is located in..

    I think you would want to tie this to a leader, and not a civ.

    Ben Franklin or Alexander Hamilton would be good picks for America as science and trade focused respectively.

    My argument for MacArthur is that he was literally the governor of an occupied "city" (Postwar Japan) and spearheaded a number of institutional changes changing Japan from adversary to ally. His abilities in-game practically write themselves.

    Although every single Civs getting their own UG.. certainly feels (at least) OP since this sort of gameplay rule has multiple double knife edges.
    It would all depends on how & what gets defined as their parameters and/or variable options. We can already predict some modders will try tackling such crazy potential -- i think.

    Sooooo...
    Spain = Hernán Cortés !! ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hernán_Cortés )

    Francis Walsingham as an espionage-focused governor for England.

    Put him in foreign cities to make your spies there more effective.
