Hi. I would be very happy if someone would point out (in simple terms) how to chop up a map that is to big for my computer to play.

For the earth_realsim 1.5 is a mad fun to play and has great acuracy but cant be played at the later stages.

I would like to know how to perhaps chopp out a pacific part of the map, or a euro part and such on.

And while you are answering that, whoever answers, is it possible to copy a map to a different scenario? Supposing I painstakingly did a map for a scenario and then wanted to change the players in the scenario, and in fact mod the number of them in the map size, and found that the modifications after the scenario was saved do not apply to it. Any way to cut and paste the whole map?

Perhaps Rhye's BMP to WB converter, in the Utilities section of Creation and Customization (I forgot how to do links to threads) could help. I haven't tried it yet. I'm going to see if it goes backwards and converts WB to BMP, because if it does it will be possible to just chop in gimp then convert back--though much will probably be lost it will probably save much time.
