In my family we draw names to determine who you give a gift to.
That way you don't need to buy 1,700 gifts to make sure you cover everyone. There is a tradition that we try to not spend too much for the gift as well.

This year I drew my stepfathers name.
He is 65 years old and loves action movies. I am thinking of getting 3 or 4 "Post-Apocalypse" movies for him as a gift.

So far I have A Boy and His Dog

And The Road Warrior.

Gimme some other ideas for the "Post-Apocalypse" theme please.

Aren't there a million of those?

I Am Legend
The Resident Evil garbage movies
Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (my favorite Mad Max movie)
Cyborg (crappy)
Planet of the Apes movies

and many others I can't remember. Maybe a few Twilight Zone episodes?

EDIT: More:

Soylent Green
Death Race 2000 (good one)
Escape from New York

It's called Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, not frigging The Road Warrior! :aargh:

There are a million post-apocalyptic films. Besides the ones Phlegmak mentioned, there's also I Am Legend's precursors, The Omega Man and The Last Man On Earth, countless zombie films such as Dawn of the Dead and Diary of the Dead, and the other Mad Max films, just to name a few.

The Postman? You show that to a man of his years, you'll kill him. Give him a crap-induced heart attack.

Oh my gosh you're right! Caeili, I'm sorry for almost killing your family.

If he watched that and Waterworld back to back, it would not only kill him, it would somehow kill his corpse! I've heard the technique is used in occult ceremonies.

And you mentioned T2. T3 would actually be a good choice, because while it's not post-apocalyptic, it takes place as the apocalypse is happening.
