    Hi there :)
Gen. Rommel (and all), I want you to know I'm around again and I hope you are still interested in this project.
For my long absence I do apologize. I intend to be reliable in the future.

 It's become a bit of a refrain: "Welcome back, my friend, to the show that never ends." :)

Oh glorious day!!! That you've returned fills me with great joy, and that your going to finish this project afterall even moreso. You can bet yourself that I'm as interested as ever in you finishing this for me! This is going to be one of the greatest sets ever, I'm sure of that. :goodjob:

I've still got all the Born of Fire stuff tucked away if you eventually want to pick that up also.

    Thanks Oz!

    That's great to hear! :D

Oh, good! I do plan to pick that up again, and I'll let you know when. :)

On another note, it seems a lot of my pictures and uploads are gone. I guess I'll have to work on getting them back up.

Welcome back Red Alert it will be great to see some new city sets. It seems to be an area that is somewhat lacking in the graphics department.

Welcome back, I hope to see some new work from you. ;) :D

The forum was hacked while you were away. A lot of files were deleted, a lot of which haven't been restored yet. I hope you'll be able to reupload your own work again. :)

Thanks. Good to see you Varwnos!

    Thank you BadKharma. :)
That's true. I remember back before 2004 there seemed to be not much more than a dozen city sets. Though still not nearly enough, it's fortunate that we have a lot more nowadays (about half of which I think were made by Varwnos!).

Thanks & I think you will!

    That's terrible!
I have back-ups of most of my civ stuff so I should be ok. I bet a lot of people were less fortunate.
Forum hackers make baby RedAlert cry. :(

    Hi Stormrage! :wavey:

I've been working to replace my lost images, and I put a preview of the finished first era in the first post (and I removed all the red xs from my other posts.)

Expect a second era preview soon. :)

Well, this isn't exactly what I meant when I said soon, but I've been running behind schedule this week. Thanks for all the positive comments so far. :)
    Anyway, how looks this?

    Amazing :D

Really you have turned the 2d style into an art-form. I think that these are the greatest 2d graphics i have seen for civ3 :)

I think 100% of Red's and almost all of Ogedai's cities are good.

Oh wow, that looks like a perfect little Japanese village...you don't how amazing that truly looks. I for one, am really impressed with that. No criticism from me.

EDIT: I forgot to comment on the variations of the buildings...this set is so nice since nothing seems recycled! Keep it going just like this! This is going straight into the mods and scenarios.
