city improvements in "food" or "production" cities

Wondering if someone can just help me out quickly – I remember reading on here somewhere a rough guide as to what you should build (city improvements) in “food cities” and in “production or shield cities” – the whole city specialisation thing.

Wondering if someone can refresh my memory as to what these things are … and if there are any that should go in both food and shield cities.

Final thing – “combo cities” – ones which can produce food/settlers/workers as well as shield-orientated units, etc – what are people’s attitudes towards them, good or bad and why?
 
At the beginning of the game, I have
3/4 cities with granary to produce Workers / Settlers
Other core cities have barracks and produce units. When unhappiness is too import, these cities might produce a worker / settler to reduce population.

End of anciant age, I produce marketplaces in core cities (the one having max number of gold) and barracks to most of cities and produce units.
