city name bug?

i was watching my friend play as the mayans today, and i noticed that after he built and went through all the original city names and, started in on the "new" cities, the names of the cities didn't appear. as in, instead of showing up as "New Mayapan" or whatnot, it was just "New "
is this a bug?
