This is the thread for the formerly Greek port city of Herakleia. Situated on the Southern Coast of the beautiful Kashmir province, Herakleia offers a laid-back but still modern lifestyle.

Herakleia is a city by most standards with a population just over 800,000, but still has a small-town feel to it. Founded by the Greeks in 610 BC, Herakleia has flourished as one of the few Greek cities to become more integrated to the Phoenatican economy.

Uptown Herakleia, which is situated on the coast of the Gulf of Knossos, has recieved generous investments from the local government and thus displays prominently a mixture of the Phoenatican and Greek cultures. While only about one quarter of the population still consists of Greek peoples, the city remains proud of its heritage while still devoted to the country.

Herakleia only has a small industrial district that is considerably high-tech, so that the city produces NO pollution per turn and has been deemed having the cleanest air and water in the province of Kashmir.

Because of its proximity to the Forbidden Palace at Thebes, Herakleia maintains a relatively low corruption rate--only about 1 in 4 shields is lost to corruption. As a commercial center, Herakleia produces 41 commerce per turn--resulting in a local GDP per capita of 3.4 commerce annually. With the exchange rate, this puts Herakleia's mean annual income well above the national average.

If you're looking for an upscale, low-pollution, picturesque and growing city with a strong cultural heritage, then look no further than Herakleia. We open our doors to citizens of all types, and look forward to seeing anyone who wishes to come.

Lastly, we have a picture of the city in the last stages of "We love the President Day," in which the fireworks display takes place.
