After becoming a suzerain of a city-state, are there any benefits to investing Influence in city's projects?
I understand benefits of Incorporate or levy unit projects, even the bolster military project might help them to aid you better at wars but what about the promote growth project?
Why would I spend my Influence points on a city-state growth?

Only reasons I can think of to promote growth is if there's a resource you want them to improve so you can trade for it, or if you're planning to later incorporate the city state.

That’s the main reason why I try to promote growth. They don’t seem particularly good at grabbing nearby resources though.

I suppose another reason to do it is if you’re using them as a way to block another Civilization from grabbing land near you. For example if the City State is essentially guarding one of your flanks.
