Civ 3 hangs up on me

When Im usally in a city doing something it hangs in there, usally when Im trying to activate some troops. I've down loaded all the patches.

What are your PC specs - Processor speed, video card, ram etc.

1.4 mhz, 526 rams, AGP 4X, PCI video. My computer is a Dell I bought it about 9 months ago. Thanks for helping me

What OS are you running? Have you updated it to the latest service pack? Do you have the latest video card drivers?

My hang ups were caused by my virus checker.

Put it into sleep mode.
