civ 3 not running on mac osX 10.5

WTF!!! I finally got a copy of civ 3 from a friend. When I go to launch the game i get the message drawsprocket cannot switch to the requested resolution. Is there anyway to fix this? I should have stuck with PC.

I suspect you are trying to run the old MacSoft version of Civ3. That doesn't work on Intel CPUs running OSX 10.5 10.6

Civ3 Complete from Aspyr should be fine.
