Can someone direct me to where I can read about the new features for Civ 5? I am rebuilding a new computer pretty much only for this game. I7 960, 6gig ram & GTX 460 on a Win 7 64 bit platform, hell I might even get a new monitor and move up to serious resolutions.

Anyway I have read much but would like to know HOW the Diplomacy works in game and also how Social policies work.

If I want to do a custom map and insert my own resources or techs (as I did at times in Civ 4) will I still be able to do so in a single player game in Civ 5?

Thanks much. I am eagerly looking forward to the game!

We don't know too much about diplomacy yet, but this site is the best compilation of what we nkow.

The map editor is now entirely separate from the game, so you won't be able to just Enter Worldbuilder like you could in Civ4 and give yourself free stuff in the middle of a game.

Though you could probably save your game, open in it in the editor, change things, resave it, and then load that file as a scenario.

But they claim that the editor is more powerful in terms of making maps and scenarios.
And you'll certainly be able to create mods with different resources and techs.

Thanks Ahriman. I like the option to do that sometimes. However its not a game-breaker for me. Thanks very much for the link!
