Civ 5 crashes upon loading a saved game

so after about playing an awesome 4 hour session earlier, I decided to start up where I left off. Unfortunately everytime I attempt to load my game the game just freezes, so I have to ctl+alt+del to get out. Could someone please give me a hand, I don't want to lose all of my progress


And yes my computer could handle it just fine

8gb ddr3 K-hyper x
gtx 680

Happens to me now and then. Have no idea why, but I guess it must be a graphic problem. Annoying though.

If you post the save-file and any mods you are using others will be able to try an replicate the issue.

Assuming that your rig is stable and your psu was not bought on a flea market, check integrity of local files of the game and if this doesn't help, post your save game file and the list of mods you are using if any.
