Hello, Im playing Civ 5 large map with 10 players and 9 city states. Only a few mods and the game turn never used to take more than 30-40 seconds. Now turns are taking 5 mins or so to go through at turn 250. I’ve deleted old saved games and have quick animation and movement for units. Any other suggestions on why this is happening now?

Do you still run Windows 7 ? I've read somewhere that running W7 now is a bad bad idea. (think it was on Reddit) In my experience I had to change PC because the old one was nearly unusable due to "performance issues", and I was not trusting enough to do serious business with it. I didn't even wanted to buy a new PC online, because credit card and all, so I just bought it on a store for 20% more expensive.
