Civ 6 Crashes After Loading

When I start Civ 6, the message comes up right before the game leaves my desktop and goes into the movie saying

It lets me load the previously saved game I had and then it crashes.

I tried uninstalling the game, deleting all the files out of the folder the steam support recommended, reinstalled the game and validated the files, and downloaded the most recent NVIDIA driver, but it still crashes.

Can anyone help me?

I played it fine with the New Frontiers earlier this week, but now it is crashing before I can take a turn.

UPDATE - I tried starting a new game and it worked fine.

I think that since playing a game that was started before the new patch the game did not know what to make of the new rules the patch created for operating, so it crashed.

Summary - if you are having problems with game crashing, test a new game.
