Welcome to Civ VII Game of the Month - 02
These games will allow new and old GotM fans to play Civ7 in a friendly competitive environment. Participants are encouraged to post questions, stories, advice, tricks and failures in the dedicated game threads (described below). Each game will specify the Civ you will play.

How to Play
1. Please read our Must Read Rules and Game Details sections below for important information before playing.
2. Consult our Other Useful Information section below and ask spoiler free questions in this thread before starting your game if needed.
3. Click the 7otMxxx.Civ7save file attachment at the bottom of this post to download the Civ6 savefile.
4. Move the Civ7 savefile from your ...\Downloads folder to your ...\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VIi\Saves\Single folder. (This is the standard Civ67install location so please let us know if yours is different or you can't find it)
5. Load the 7otMxxx.Civ7save file in Civ7 and play the game adhering to all our Rules and Victory Conditions specified below. (In game, click Single Player, Load Game, 7otMxxx should be at the top.)
6. Once finished, report your results in the appropriate thread and attach your finished save game to your post in the final thread.

Must Read Rules!
We would like to ask you to please abide by our most sacred rule: Do NOT replay any turns! If you make a mistake, accept it and try to recover. To ensure fair play and prevent results exclusions, please set your Autosaves to 1 turn. In the event of a computer crash while playing, just reload to the previous save and play it as closely to how you played it the first time.
We also ask that you don't use any mods (yet) until we can determine their impact on AI behavior.

I have a question about the "do not replay turns" rule. I don't know if I'm the only one who gets this "glitch", but sometimes, when I try to click on the icon for my next unit while an attack is going on (especially between naval or airborne units), the game just force the end of the turn. It happened 2 or 3 times in the previous GotM. I didn't reload the turns (wasn't sure I would be able to anyway with the 1-turn auto-save), but was curious to know if I was the only one encountering this glitch and how do people deal with it? I guess I'll just have to be extra careful; it would suck to waste a critical turn in the middle of a large war because of this...

Especially with a new release, there are some potential glitches. With the save every turn go ahead and reload the save in the current and state in your post what occurred. Intent is to not replay the mistakes we all make to try to get better outcomes; intent is NOT to be punished for game glitches.

Will probably move 1NW to settle.
AH - Sailing
Scout, buy scount, warrior.

Beyond that will depend on whether we have hostile or friendly independent peoples nearby. Games where you are surrounded by hostiles play completely different than games where you have a mix or friendly nearby.

It's not a "glitch", it's a UI issue. I understood it out at some time. The situation arises when you have unit on auto-march (sent a distance of several turns). The game sees this unit and the interface becomes confused - on the one hand the program wants to say that not all units have left yet (there are units on auto-march), on the other hand soon as game makes auto-moves, turn ends and program simply "doesn't have time to draw" the end-of-turn icon, immediately switching to AI calculation.
There is nothing wrong with this, all auto-moves are issued at the end of the turn and you have time to do everything that needs to be done manually.

It seems linked to the setting to cycle through units with movements left, too. I don't have that behaviour anymore since I've turn it off (default).

Welp, Imago Mundi's been nerfed in the new patch.

Anything else to keep in mind regarding the patch? Crossroads owners now have access to two new wonders--I'm planning to ignore those and play like I would have previously.

I Like civ 7 at laucnh more than i did with civ 6... but the whole legacy path and era change really ruined Gotm for me, the 2 soft reset and beeing forced to do the same thing every time in each era is just meeeh
I have no problem playing a single player game for my self but in a friendly competetive enviorment like GOTM it just dont do well for me.

Oh why why, double wall?

When I start the game using the settings above, my starting location looks different. I don't want to take a chance of spoilers, I don't know how far off I am from the 'original' starting spot, but not on Nav River and different resources nearby. I double-checked the game and map seeds and tried another new game, same issue. I am starting under 1.1.0, so not sure if that's the issue (on PC btw). Should I continue from where I am?

If you are on PC you cannot load the save ?
It was made with no DLC.

Please take a look at the how to play option (downloading file) and send me a direct note if that doesn't work. I have a feeling the patches may change map with same settings.
