How do you distinguish "Western" and Graeco-Roman?

Also, "ancient" and "classical" overlap, and even Westerners appreciate the "ancient" designation applies differently to different cultures around the world.
Regarding the latter, it would be the same as defining the difference between the "Ancient" and "Classical" from all previous games. The "Classical Age" starts roughly around the 8th century BC to the fall of Rome.

Not sure about having a Greco-Roman split with Western considering Greece and Rome theoretically started Western culture/civilization, but I would assume that Western is the rest of Europe and America currently not from Ancient Greece or Ancient Rome? But if that's the case why isn't Machiavelli Greco-Roman because he's as Italian as Augustus?

Even thoughe the Greeks and the Romans are the basis of Western cultures, they also have other influences from later on that would end up creating medieval and modern Western civilizations (Christinity, Germanic tribes, Columbian exchange, etc.) Also, the Greeks and Roman not only influenced "the West", but also the Orthodox "East" and the Islamic world.

For that reason, I classified Caesar as our only "Graeco-Roman" leader in-game as of now. A sharp contrast compared to Civ6's 6 "Graeco-Roman" leaders (Pericles, Gorgo, Alexander, Cleopatra, Caesar and Trajan)

Who exactly are which kinds of Christian and who are the Deists? I’d assume that Franklin and Lafayette are deists, but of Napoleon, Bolivar, Lovelace and Frederick which other two are? I’d guess Frederick is one because there is no Lutheran on the list.

Be interesting to see how that compares to past Civ games.
There is certainly a leader and modern skew to Europe/ Western, yet there is also 3 China Civs, 3 India Civs with 2 India leaders and one alternative persona, where in past Civs we would only have 1 of each.

If I ever happen to have time later this week I'll try to make the same breakdown for the previous games as well

Catholics (5): Charlemagne, Isabella, Lafayette, Bolívar, Napoleon
Anglican (1): Ada Lovelace
Methodist (1): Tubman
Orthodox (1): Catherine
Deist (4): Franklin, Rizal, Friedrich, Edward Teach
Unknown (1): Machiavelli

Notes: Lafayette and Napoleon are a bit hard to identify, since they both considered established religion to be important for society and both took part on the religious rituals and ceremonies of Catholicism. To what extent they really believed or considered themselves to be Catholic, that's debatable and I think we can't be really sure. Adal Lovelace was very skeptic in her youth but on her later days she converted to Christianity (presumably Anglicanism) and accepted most of their sacraments. Catherine the Great is also hard to identify. She was raised as a Lutheran but really only turned Orthodox in order to marry into the Russian Imperial Family. Similar to Lafayette and Napoleon, she considered the established Orthodox Church of Russia to be essential to mantainf social cohesion and order. Franklin, Rizal and Friedrich are obvious deists, but I also included Edward Teach on that category, since he was a peculiar believer on a higher power mixed with witchcraft and other Caribbean folk beliefs. He basically did believe in a god but on his own terms, I guess. Machiavelli is also hard to identify, since he views religion as a form of social control, but that isn't enough to know if he was an actual believer or not.
