Hi everyone, I recently started a new scenario and realized that as always, the units on the forum have a different palette than the standard units and therefore if i cut-n-paste the units32 files onto the standard one they look weird. For the first time I decided to solve this by changing the standard units32 file's palette (the civ-color section anyway) to match one of Sandris' units. Now I realize many of you have probably done this already but I thought maybe someone else might benefit from having this file with the palette already changed. Since the image itself is unchanged it can be used even with the epic game without problems, and is easier to modify later. Before I post it however I have three questions:

1)Where should a file of this type be posted?

2)Has such a thing been posted before?

3)Does it sound like anyone would actually need this?

Attached are a preview of the units32 with the changed palette and a zip containing the actual file in case anyone wants to see it.

Sandris uses blue? I've always made my unit32 files with the same standard pallete that the vanilla unit32.pcx file does.

Yea, I convert to red to use the firaxian unit32 pallette. That is alot of unit32 palettes to change, sandris made tons of units!

Exactly, this is why I decided to do it this way, most of the units in my scenario are his (it's ancient era). Having said that though sometimes he give you both, which is helpful. I always suspected that it was some by-produce of the way he mass-produces units that left them blue.

themanuneed posted a lot "blued" units32.pcx's of units by Sandris.
Actually I have redone them using the Default animation and choosing red instead of blue as the Civ color so that they can be used with the standard firaxian palette. But changing the palette like Leaven did is a very clever idea that might save a lot of work for many Civ modders :)

I was using a lot of those files myself before but I have lost a lot of stuff changing computers and I didn't feel like downloading them again :)
