Civ-favourite governments

Hi all,

I remember reading about governments that certain Civs love and hate. I happened to read it when my persians were in constant civil revolt in my republic days-- I had to switch back to monarchy in self defence. Persians hate Democracy and love monarchy -- go shah!

Now, I can't -for the life of me- find the informatin in the manual or the strat guide. does anyone know where this info can be found? [the index in either is useless for this]

Maybe your citizens were only being kept content due to military policing under monarchy, which isn't available under Republic? Not 100% sure, but i can't remember reading anything about civs being more compatible with different governments.

AFAIK, and I'm pretty sure on this, the different civs have no preference as to governments. The AI civs are supposed to according to the editor, but that doesn't stop Egypt from becoming a republic, which it supposedly hates.
