Hello its me KinG_Chez again I have some newb question , I want to know about how can I attack one unit with like 10 spearman. so wut iam trying to say is like this if you see a enemy unit guarding a city and I cant kill it with one spearman , my move is to keep attacking it but only one turn am right but how do I do that like wen a horsemen of barbarian attack your base they attack like 7 hosrse with one single turn how do you do that?:king: plz tell me ty peeps  :) :) :king: :king: :king:

Select the unit stack and press X, then select the enemy unit

I hope I understood what you're trying to say. Oh, and don't attack with spearmen. They're defensive units

That has to be a joke.

Why would it be a joke? Did you know how to attack with a stack when you were first learning the game? Did you know that spearmen aren't good attackers, even though the game's advisor keeps recommending you build them? Try to remember how it felt when everything about the game was new to you. :scan:

So I could attack a unit with a whole stack of troops by pressing X?

yes, but it still would be something like : 'automated attack' - when 1st unit dies another will attack and so on.
so that will not have any benefits similar to armies. all stats will be used from currently fighting unit.

it would be the same, as manually attacking city with 1st, 2nd ....

That's handy. But does it work for vanilla?

i think, that from some patch there was added button to move units in stack, but i'm not sure.

Why would it be a joke?

Because I was laughing my ass off when I read that. It wasn't so much the question as the English.

This wouldn't be the first forum where someone tried to play that type of practical joke.

If it wasn't, my apologies to King Chez. I'm not trying to scare you off or anything.

What happened to the good old "assume good faith?" :)

What if he was joking:
What would he have gained from it? And what would we have lost?

And what if he was not joking, but we laughed at him, assuming he was joking:
What would he have gained from it? and what would we have lost?

If a tree falls and nobody hears it, does it make a noise?

:hmm:

:hmm:

That depends on whether you mean the psycological/physiological definition of noise, or the physical (as in of physics) definition. In the former, no; in the latter, yes.

Just being a know-it-all here. :)

You couldn't in vanilla. I believe that the functionality was added in some PTW patch. J moves all the units on one tile. Ctl-J moves all the units of the same type.
