Just wanted to ask if anyone else uninstalled Civilization IV recently? I just thought that when Civilization V is released I would not really play Civilization IV anymore and it would just take space from my computer that could be used for example to install Civilization V. Even if I am european and can't play the Civilization V until friday I didn't anymore see the point to keep Civilization IV installed as I haven't been interested of playing it for a while. This takes me back to the time when I uninstalled Civilization III before I installed Civilization IV. I don't see the point to play the older game after I get the new one as usually the new one seems to be better.

Have to survive to friday without turns its all in real time and I don't know how I can cope. Wish me luck. ;)

I have lots of free disk space, so I didn't uninstall Civ4. I doubt if I'll ever play it though.

mh yeah... the enter keeeey!

If my gaming partition runs out of space sometime in the future, Civ IV will most likely be gone... if nothing goes wrong with Civ V :)

Heh, I would have had room on it to install Civ V but I usually like to uninstall games I don't play anymore and Civ IV with BtS and few mods was most likely taking the most room from the disk of the games I had installed. I also uninstalled another game I got bored of playing.

I have 2 1TB hard drives, plus another 2 1TB hard drives in my NAS, and about 8 misc drives of varying sizes sitting around just in case. The 4 GB I would save by uninstalling Civ IV would not even be noticed, let alone used.

Some people buy shoes, some buy magazines... I buy hard drives...

I'm not uninstalling Civ IV until I install Civ V and see that it plays alright even at minimum settings. *crosses fingers*

I've frequently installed/uninstalled [civ4] lots of times. [c3c] has never left my hard drive nor will it ever. I still play C3C to this day.

As for [civ5] I will most likely get it but based on the abortion Civ4 was in the beginning I'll hold out for a while. Unless of course I read that everyone is experiencing an awesome game out of the box with no performance issues. Then I'll run like everyone else and go get it.

Yep, I opened up Steam and uninstalled Civ IV BTS. My Civ V is preloaded and I'm excited for tomorrow.

I have plenty of Disk space left, so, no, I have ALOT of games installed aswell.

I have several current games of Civ 4 going on right now, and a plethora of free disk space. So, I'm not uninstalling it. (Probably not ever.)

I'm known as a computer pack rat, because of the million icons I have on my desktop and the installed things from 1999 that still inhabit my drives. :)

I don't even have cIV installed on the computer I recently bought to install ciV on, so it's not a burning question for me. I have a TB internal and a TB on my external so I could install IV but I bet I won't, since it's installed on my other PC.

My computer is crap. I doubt I can handle the game tomorrow. So yes, I deleted IV to save the precious space I have left.

I will probably uninstal Civ4 but i will keep civ2 and i may finally uninstall civ3 now that bombard is back.... bombard getting nerfed in civ4 forced me to keep civ3.

Civ2 is something else, i cannot break it's hold on me, and don't think i ever will!

!!!

I am an "all time C3C-addict". I've never given Civ4 a real chance, and didn't play more than 150 turns of this game.

I hopefully won't do the same mistake with Civ5 again and try to give it a real chance. Maybe I will start to like Civ4 in one or two years? You never know. CIV is always alive, it doesn't matter how old the game is! :):king:

I've never tried SMAC either. There is a lot of work to do!
