W10 did its latest update thing yesterday and once again, my D2D version of CIV IV comes up requiring me to enter my validation serial before it allow the game to run. I enter it and its runs but tells me the activation has failed.
With the previous W10 update, D2D (I think it was) provided a patch of three new files to add to the Civ directory, which made the game work again.
Do I/we have to wait for that again?
I contacted 2K support and they told me to buy the Steam version of Civ IV, which I won't because it is so low as to be useless. D2D support sends back a message saying they are working to get their activation servers working with their new partners (Owners?).
Might anyone out there be able to get me back to where I was on Wednesday?
