And another first poster in here (I did the same thing, that's not a critique, just a validation of my personal theory!)

I'm sure there's threads on this in here already, but to answer your question. Yes.
I'm running Civ IV original, Warlords, and Colonisation on two Vista machines. One Vista Home Basic, one Vista Ultimate. The second is having issues separate to Vista compatibility, but they both run the game fine. Patching to the latest version helps. 1.74 for original (Not sure on that one, that was the last patch I applied, don't play orig much anymore) and 2.13 for Warlords. Last I looked there wasn't one for Colonisation.
