This is a thread where we subtract three points to one leader but add one point to another leader for their depiction in the leader screen; music is not considered, as it is for the other thread. Note that each user can only hurt and heal once every 24 hours.

As a friendly reminder, please state a rationale for the addition and subtraction of points.

Copying rules / rule clarifications from the other Civ VI Elimination thread:

    1. As in other elimination threads, please only post replies that contain votes (wait until your next vote to comment on other votes)
    2. Yes, you are allowed to vote the same way any number of times in a row (after the 24 hours has elapsed each time); but please give a reason on each post, even if it's something like "for the same reason as above"

    Thanks -- Jon

Not only am I completely sick to death of Gandhi being India's leader AGAIN just by sheer virtue of of meme status even though there's a truckload of more interesting rulers who actually ruled, but Gandhi's model looks like some diseased alien bug man. He looks like that cock-roach thing from Men In Black that kills humans and wears their skin as a disguise. I am practically counting the days until India gets a second leader, I'm rooting for Chandragupta Maurya but at this point I'll take anyone.

I seriously do not understand how they can get one leader so right and one leader so wrong in the very same pack. While Alexander looks like a half melted Ken Doll Cyrus looks... commanding. He looks more than willing to talk trade deals or gut you at the flick of a switch, like any ancient ruler worth their salt should. His costume and the way he stares into the middle distance while you're talking like he's thinking of something way more important than whatever it is you happen to be saying just makes him feel so imperial. Not to mention that evil chuckle of his. Absolutely love his whole villainous vibe, even if the historical Cyrus was known for being one of the more fair and liberal leaders of his time. :mischief:

I really like Harald's armour. I think both Jadwiga's outfit and her facial expressions look especially silly.

I'm big on the record that I prefer VI's alive leaders to V's wooden ones; but Monty is an exception. His version in V was perfect, and while it's balanced that his version in VI is way OTT, I cannot help but think back to his previous incarnation every time I see him.

I'm swinging for Cat here because she already appears a target; and yet I know a couple of women in real life who are very like her in the way she speaks and expresses herself. So I find her immersive and fun :)

Barbarossa is such an egregious missed opportunity. Not only did they eschew more historical chain mail (this is the 12th century, after all) for the blandest plate armour imaginable, they gave him a puny crown instead of the blingtastic Crown of the Holy Roman Emperor.

    Spoiler Best crown :

    Spoiler Noble Emperor :

Cyrus' leader design is probably my favourite. Great beard, excellent face, commanding presence. The only thing I'd mark him down for are the absurd LARP leather wrist guards.

And Alex looks like he was done in a bit of a rush. And all that bizarre lip manoeuvring... I think his image is the least successful here.

Gotta say, I really wish there was more voice work for the leaders. Having them speak a line here or there, and then just give a grunt or a change of expression for the rest of the lines is kinda lame. Would've been way more immersive with full voice! Here's hoping for Civ VII :p

Every 24 hours, or once a day? I would rather not have to worry about waiting until 11:33 PM. :)

No need to be that close a clock watcher, but the point of spacing out your posts to be roughly a day apart is to avoid too rapid elimination of an alternative just because others who might be inclined to "rescue" that item with up-votes weren't given a fair shot before you multi-post downvoted that item to oblivion (which might be viewed as a form of "thread-jacking" or "trolling," since this is supposed to be a forum game for the enjoyment of all who participate).

So, it would not be kosher to post at 11:50 pm on one day and then again 12 minutes later at 12:02 am on what is technically the "next" day. But, conversely, you are highly unlikely to be called to task for occasionally posting 23 hours apart.
