The only problem I see with the Immortals in the fencing competition is that they in actually were spearmen. You also forget about the Samurai, who actually were sword-wielding infantry. They might win the sabre fencing competition hands and heads down.

The Spanish would take first in bike racing due to the Conquistador... oh wait... they did (in the men's road race)!

The U.S. takes the gold in the "Useless UU" competition. Portugal gets the silver.

True. OK, I'm convinced. Silver to Egypt, bronze to Portugal in a photo-finish (or an oil-painting, for you Spike Jones people out there).

Honorable mention has to go to the Hittites UU. The 3 man chariot is a pathetic excuse of a unit, really just a very expensive, more mobile spearman that screams like a sissy when it dies.

The Iroquis would win at archery, they have mounted warriors with bows and arrows.

I'm' not quite sure what you mean with this. it seems to me that the extra point for all naval units assists the expansionist trait. Expansionist and Seafaring both get you out into the world and learning what is out there faster than any other Civ on the map.

Are you thinking that Seafaring needs an Island map and Exp works better on pangaea?
