Civ PTW help utilities/mods/graphis and plugins

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I can see how using a mod might be part of a strategy to help in the game . . . in my delusional world.

Does anyone have suggestions for the needed mods/utilities they use to win a game when it comes to the more difficult levels?

I heard of the happiness icons and will begin using those, are there any others?
