Civ V auto closes after beginning intro (Solved)

Didn't know how to best title this, but Civ V will auto close whether or not I wait out the intro or if I try to skip it, and it doesn't matter what DirectX version I select. I am on Windows 11 running DirectX 12 and have used the Windows DirectX end-user runtime web installer already and it hasn't done anything. As well, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and verifying game files (which shows 6 files failed to validate every time). Running out of ideas of what to do. When it closes though, it doesn't show any sort of crash report so I have no idea what is happening.

Edit: Uninstalled again then deleted the Civ V folder in documents > My Game directory and after reinstalling all was working perfectly
