if you won't support a console Civ V then support CivRev2
I can only think that anything that would bring a more cerebral game to the console market would be a good thing for gaming in the long run.
I played and enjoyed consoles for a long time before i was lucky enough to get my first pc, i loved many of the console games but for years i wished i could play a good strategy game and i never got to, it's a real pity that console gamers are so forgotten when it comes to strategy titles.
As long as the pc version does'nt suffer, Civilization for consoles is an awesome idea, you'd probably be surprised how many console gamers would jump at the chance to play a game like civ.
civ5 IS civrev2
It already feels like a console game, why not release it on one?
Not that I really give a damn about consoles...
I'm not so sure about that though.
Look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWrUCjct_bQ#t=1m25s
And at 1m25s the guy says that:
I don't know why they would want to design the UI to be accessible with a gamepad unless they wanted to release it for consoles later.
yup civ5 reeks of console interface...
as bad as civ5 is on PC, i think it would make a top notch console game.
I am confused, what is this poll asking? What is a concle, do you mean uncle?
Im pretty sure he ment uncle. So i voted yes.
i said spelling fail
I didn't liked Civ Rev, it was the most recist civ game since 3
no it's not. V has a lot more in common with IV, than with Rev.
no! Civ5 is CivRev, for the PC. Firaxis Produces Dennis Shirk SAID SO
quote from interview with Front Towards Gamer (available to all at the CFC homepage btw)
"...they decided to make 5 appeal more to those who might have loved Rev and wanted something more--but who may not be ready to leap into Civ 4's complexity."
It really is a freakin console game allready, adapted for the PC. It still makes my stomach turn.
nope, sorry, your wrong, and I just proved it.
Is this a joke? Have you played all the games in question? V is not like Rev, no matter what Shirk's intentions were.
I read the original post, and thought oh that is clever he is comparing Civ V to Civ Rev. Funny, and then I read two pages of replies, and no one seemed to be in on the joke.
Hmm was the joke too subtle ? Or did I miss the point of this thread ?
wait, have you even played civ4?
almost non-stop for two years...you?
It's no joke unfortunately. Some people actually compare the two.
sure why not, but you know it just wont happen, and its too bad
Separate names with a comma.
