Because every one knows that Canada is going to get the ice hockey rink.
I had that in my last Scotland game. I had exactly 5 snow tiles, the rest tundra with some forests and one or two grass. Plus a river, and sea resources. That city was booming : ) I settled it early (third or fourth city I believe) so I could make sure it had enough pops to build Amundsen quickly. By the time the wonder was available, the city had a strong campus (like you need for the wonder), an industrial zone (which I wanted because I was lacking hills in that city), a harbor, commercial hub, an encampment and eventually I even built a theatre square there. Lovely town... : )
Well, you can only build one in a city anyway, so I don't see how either. Me suspects that the nerds in development have never actually set foot anywhere near a golf course...
Could you eventually paradrop there?
That would kind of get his unit stuck...
Haven't tried it myself yet, so wasn't too sure.
There was a similar case a while ago.
Sacrifices must be made if one wants to further the advancement of civilization.
I mean, there could be 20 faith in there!! What a treasure to discover in the lategame once you can paradrop
In the meantime.. Toronto takes over the world!
Who Let The Dogs Out!
Good shout and should work.
Paratrooper might get stuck but it's worth it for the surprise inside!
I will LOL if you Paratroop in there and up getting the +20 XP award on a stuck unit.
I literally just made this comment in the Update Incoming thread
I retract that statement in light of this compelling new evidence
More Polder Porn...
... I call this one Petra Polder Pr0n! Yes, that's right, not only are there many polders but there is also a nice spot for Petra... woohoo!
Am I focusing too hard on not wasting Era Points?
EDIT: A second one
That moment when you get beaten to a Tribal Village... by a battering ram.
Might as well just Suz Kandy while you are at it lol
Eh, didn't feel like spending that many envoys on them, also because by the time I met them I'd already found most Natural Wonders (I actually was the first for four seperate Natural Wonders in the ancient era).
Also, it turned out I wasn't the first to find the Galapagos Islands...
I was testing some Lua scripts related to a mod and rolled this noteworthy start. (The debug mode is why the Uranium is visible, but the mod otherwise had no impact on map generation).
I like to call this one I Walk in The Valley of the Shadow of France.
I used a cheat to reveal the rest of that map:
Would have been nice if defense was really an important issue
