Civ VI GAME WON'T LAUNCH

I bought Civ VI and cannot get it to launch. When I click on the game to play it, i have 2 options Play Civ VI or play Civ VI with DX 12. Neither one will launch. I have played many hours of Civ V with mods and no issues.

It seems like a lot of people are having problems, but none of the solutions are fixing this for me. I have all the required specs on my msi gaming computer. I bought this computer so as to avoid this exact type of problem. I have disabled windows defender and firewall. i have updated my driver's and have DX 12. I have tried at least 6 different recommendations from web searches and the game still won't launch. I verified the integrity of local files on Steam after deleting and reinstalling. This is ridiculously complicated. Can anyone help?

Have you sorted this issue? If not, can you describe where you get upto (i.e. you click the button top start civ and nothing happens?) Also, what are specs to your PC?

I have not resolved the issue. I have now verified the local files, reinstalled DirectX and Vcredist, and run steam as an administrator. When I click play, 2 options come up. One is to just play the game and the other says play the game with DirectX 12. Neither will work. I'm not real tech savvy and I find this entire process ridiculous. I bought an MSi computer so as to avoid all this technical nonsense, but here I am. 2K Support are now asking for the following, to which I do not know what they are talking about or how I give them that information:

If that doesn't resolve the issue, we would ask if you could supply us with the following files from your game;

• Your DxDiag File
• Your MSInfo32 file
• A copy of your game's .DMP file (generally available at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam\CivilizationVI.exe.dmp)
