Hi Forum-
I just installed CiV today and everything seems to work well...except I run two monitors. I had high hopes for CiV's handling of 2 monitors (e.g. allowing me to work on the secondary monitor without minimizing Civ) but I find that situation is actually worse than CIV.
Here are the questions, any solutions/hacks/workarounds are appreciated:
1) Can I make CiV lock the mouse into the game. Right now, it plays on primary, left-hand desktop, and the cursor is allowed to go off of CiV to the right; this means that to scroll the map right I have to move the cursor to the "sweet spot" in the right-hand few pixels of the game screen, or else just have the cursor leave the game and fo onto the secondary desktop.
2) I can't find a way to actually minimize CiV, since alt+tab just activates another app, which may or may not force minimization. Do I just need to leave a window open under CiV on the main desktop to force this? ugh
3) Separate from the two monitors issue...can I get a clock in the CiV interface. This is a simple. yet essential feature of civ titles in general that seems to be missing.
4) I notice that the game gives me a choice of DX9 or DX11, even if I right-click to make a so-called DX11 shortcut...can I skip the choice?
5) Can I disable the warning that online interactions are not ESRB rated...this does not concern me in the slightest?
