Is anyone having problems running Civ3 under Windows 8? I know that it runs fine on XP and Windows 7, although the editor gets a bit odd in Windows 7.

If you are having problems, what are they and have you solved them?

Haven't had a single problem thus far with either the game/scenarios or any of the editors/helper programs under Windows 8.1. I installed everything on a secondary HDD instead of my primary SSD. I'm curious if Windows 10 will cause any issues though.

I have a download-version of C3C from GamersGate, and I did the same as Laurana Kanan: installed to my D: (1 TB HDD) rather than the C: (250 GB SSD), under Win8.1.

The one test-game I've played so far ran just fine (right up until ~1960, by which time the Celts had turned into a late-game monster, so I quit before they killed me  ). I also installed (the Win7/8 version of) CivAssist into the same D:\Games\ directory partway through that test-game, and it works too.

Haven't tried messing with the Editor yet though...
