    Hi guys

I'm using a Win XP Intel P4 3.6Ghz with 1GB RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce 6800 card. Both Civ4 and warlords run fine except if I run any of the huge maps like Earth maps, Rhye's Fall of Civilization etc. After I've discovered more civs and more of the map the game runs much much slower and once I get to the Industrial age and most of the map is colonized things become too slow to play at all. I'm not sure if there is any settings I can change to make this issue go away, setting res and detail to lowest does not help either and I've tried changing my page file but the problem persists. Anybody got any ideas let me know, the spec I'm using is well within the required hardware for this game.

    Many thanks

CPU becomes the limitation... dual core CPU won't help because CIV IV isn't optimized for it, but fast Core 2 Duo probably can run game better in your scenario - like 2.0GHz C2D is as fast as P4 3.6GHz, if not faster.
