Hey danrell, great work, any chance you could convert these units to Civ IV though? Particularly this set and the Egyptian one?

These look amazing. I wish I could add a sound effects mod to go with it.

This is probably a dumb question, but where do we place the unit packs?

I'm pretty sure they came from Civ IV already.

Anywho, happy July 4th and thanks, Danrell. They look awesome. :)

Sort of, but not exactly like this. I'd still like to see these ported to Civ IV if anyone is willing to do it.

These units not only "converted", I made some changes / re-create.

It takes a lot of time to do that, for the time being I will do civ5's units, thanks :)

Civ4 has already lots of units available, it's Civ5 that needs more units desperately...

    Nice :).

Keep up the good work. Can't wait for the day when there are enough custom graphics for someone to make a Ethnicity Mod (even if it's only ancient / mediaeval to begin with).

Hello All, I put the folder in the Modsfolder of CIv5, but it doesn't appear in the modbox. Can someone help me? I put the folder edited Animations and Effects in the right place.

Hi Danrell, I am a huge fan of civ5 and still playing it. I recently found out about your unitpacks for CIV5. I like to play them, but how can i Implement them in the game. I am not a modder but someone who likes to play the game with the mods. Can you tell me how to implement these unitpacks in the game?

@Jürgen : Here are various mods that include danrell's unit packs and a lot more:

    • Ethnic Diversity (includes the most units; vanilla scale only [i.e., the same scale as the base game])

    • Ethnic Units [Steam only] (based on an early version of R.E.D. Modpack, but diverged somewhat; vanilla scale only, and hasn't been updated in a while)
